Giftware Store’s Traffic Surge: 2x More Conversions with CRO + Social Ads
Client Overview
An online giftware boutique offering unique, hand-picked items for special occasions. They had an Instagram following but struggled with cart abandonment and low online sales. With a heavy dependency on an Organic Channel like Instagram there monthly revenue was not consistent.
The Challenge
- Good brand engagement on social media but weak sales funnel. Only flow of traffic from Instagram.
- High bounce rates due to slow-loading product pages, led to a large loss of conversions.
- Ineffective retargeting leads to missed opportunities for returning visitors. Due to the loss of visitors engagement, all the collected data was not being used for further advertising efforts.
Our Approach
Page Speed Optimization

Compressed images and improved site coding to significantly reduce load times. Minimised text and drove a better user experience through eye-catching images and headlines.
Facebook + Instagram Ads

The client had boosted posts previously on Facebook but did not get the ROAs they were after. So we came up with a new Facebook & Instagram ad campaign combined with organic posting reaching a larger audience.
Retargeting Funnels

Implemented dynamic retargeting ads for visitors who viewed products but didn’t purchase, nudging them to return and complete their orders.
Key Results
- Conversions Doubled within 3 months, fueled by optimized ad targeting. We were able to reduce the abandonment cart rate by 40%. Optimising the current traffic and was able to get the right audience specifically targeted through Facebook ads.
- Bounce Rate Dropped by 30% after improving site speed and navigation. Overall user experience improved as we saw a large increase in average time spent on website.
- ROI on Ad Spend increased by 60%, affirming the effectiveness of segmented retargeting. Our overall approach led to a strong ROAs of 8x achieving room to scale. With the adjustment of increasing our AOV to $150 with a GP of 55% showed room for scaling our spend to a higher amount without losing the ROAs.
